We care about your privacy and want to be transparent about what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. This Privacy Policy explains how GelForge handles your personal information when you use our app or website.

🔍 What We Collect (and Why)

We only collect the data we need to make GelForge work well and improve over time. This includes:

  • Account info – like your name, email, and login credentials (if you create an account)
  • Recipe data – the gels you create, save, or share
  • Usage info – how you interact with the app or website (e.g. which features you use)
  • Device info – app version, device type, operating system
  • Coarse IP-based location – used to estimate your region (e.g. Australia/NZ, North America, Europe) so we can show relevant affiliate shop links

We do not collect precise location data (like GPS), and we do not use your recipes or activity to target ads.

📊 Analytics & Infrastructure

We use Supabase to handle authentication, database storage, and basic analytics. In the GelForge mobile app, we also use Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how people use the app and improve it over time. Firebase may log anonymized usage data to help us understand how people use GelForge and where we can improve.

🌍 Regional Shop Links

To help you find affiliate products that ship to your region, we use your IP address to estimate your general location. This helps us show relevant links for your area (e.g. AU/NZ, North America, Europe). We do not store or share your IP address with affiliate partners.

🧹 Account Deletion

You can request to delete your GelForge account and associated data at any time. Just visit our Account Deletion page.

We don’t currently offer automatic deletion after inactivity.

🔐 Sharing & Security

We don’t share your personal data with third parties unless:

  • It’s necessary to provide the service (e.g. cloud hosting or payment processors)
  • We’re legally required to do so
  • You give us clear permission

We take industry-standard steps to keep your data secure.
